  Highly recommend this tour company. We did three tours. Tour #1, Rainforest, Hanging Bridges and Jungle Sloths Sanctuary. We did this tour with Eddie and Ernesto. Eddie was a fantastic... read more tour guide who has lived in the area his whole life and knows a lot about nature, history of the region and the people of the area. We walked around the rain forest, traversing hanging bridges, and saw monkeys (Eddie was the monkey whisperer), sloths and exotic birds. We then had an authentic costa rican lunch on the way to the Jungle Sloths Sanctuary. Our second tour was the Palo Verde River Tour – again, we had Eddie and Ernesto as tour guides. Amazing, amazing tour! We saw monkeys, iguanas, local birds and crocodiles (see attached pictures). Being local Eddie knew all the guys who ran the tour boats which enabled us to find all the animals (even the elusive crocodiles). Again, this tour also had an authentic Costa Rican lunch included. Our third tour was the adventure tour. Our guide Jener, drove us to the adventure tour place where we spent the day. We did horseback riding, tubing down rapids and ziplining, followed by some time at the hot springs. The lunch at this event was fantastic – a buffet lunch with an assortment of food. You are definitely well taken care of on this tour. I would definitely use Costa Rica Unique Tours and Transfers again; we hope to be back soon. Contact me if you have any questions!

  My wife and I traveled to Costa Rica last week with a group of 16 people to celebrate a birthday. Our first excursion was the waterfalls/rainforest/hanging bridges, and Eddie... read more Rojas and Sidar Alvarez went out of their way (literally and figuratively) to make it the best day ever. Our group was admittedly a bit rowdy, and Eddie and Sidar did an AMAZING job of striking a balance between keeping on the itinerary and stopping to give us local experiences in small villages/towns along the way. It was absolutely a "best of both worlds" excursion. We'll remember Eddie and Sidar forever for their patience, kindness, and humor.

Excursion number 2 was fishing/snorkeling. Our guides were Bruno and Julio, and they were also very nice and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, and we managed to catch several fish in addition to seeing rays, urchin, puffer fish, and many other species. During the snorkeling Bruno was able to point out many animals that we never would have noticed without his expertise (most notably rockfish and nurse sharks that were very well camouflaged).

If I could give our experiences more than 5 stars I would do so without question.
