  This was the first excursion we did in Costa Rica, and it really set the tone for Costa Rica and it’s amazing people! Willbert went over and beyond for us... read more to teach us about his wonderful country! We learned so much from him, and he stopped at every little thing on the drive for me to go to the restroom, get fresh fruit, go to the supermarket, take pictures of iguanas, monkeys, etc. The lunch on the excursion was sooo yummy! A home cooked Costa Rican meal for lunch and we got to watch pottery being made and purchase it. We saw crocodiles, birds, and monkeys on the river. So cool! Ask for Willbert and he will not disappoint!!!

  Costa Rica Unique tour group is a large part of the reason our first visit to Costa Rica was so wonderful. We found them onsite at our... read more resort, Condovac, in Playa Hermosa (they have an outdoor office right by the beach). We first met them because they transfer Condovac guests to & from the airport, but we used their drivers and tour guides several times throughout the week. They offer a variety of packages for tours, but will customize as much as possible, provided the entire group agrees. They very much did this for us, as the group we travelled with to CR were the only people on the tour bus that day. We did a modified version of the Volcano, Waterfall, Zipline tour - as the Ziplines were closed at the time.

The people who work for and operate CR Unique are top notch! Memo-one of the owners, Eddie-tour guide, and Sidar-driver were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful!! They loved sharing their country with us, we learned a lot from them, and they (especially Eddie!) loved when we asked more questions. We will definitely use them again, and consider them friends to visit on our next trip!

Above and beyond: On our last day in CR, we had a minor glitch in COVID paperwork at the airport (make sure your doctor has SIGNED your proof of recovery paperwork!), and CR Unique returned to the airport, found a place to take COVID tests and drove us there, got us three quotes for hotels in a little town we wanted to stay in for the extra 2 days in CR, and even stopped at the grocery store for us on the way to the hotel we chose! They turned a negative in our travels into a positive, and we were very grateful for them.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and it will definitely not be our last - much of that is due to the so many of the wonderful "Ticos" we encountered while we were there! Pura Vida!
