My girlfriend is a biology professor, and she had a great time really getting into the different plant and animal minutiae with our guide, who was able to answer questions and point out many interesting things throughout the day. We went to the sloth reserve and got right up close with a baby sloth, held a boa constrictor, and took pictures on the hanging bridges in the cloud forest. We ended the day by having fresh coffee at a nearby coffee plantation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Snorkeling brought even more wildlife and beautiful photo ops! Fishing was awesome! Sometimes fishing is slow, but we caught Spanish Mackerel, Jack, and two different types of snapper! Beautiful fish and a great experience. You cannot go wrong with any of these excursions!

  This is an amazing, fun packed, all day adventure! The activities listed, horseback riding, white water tubing and zip lining are not in any particular order, as that is... read more determined upon arrival to the base camp and the number of tour groups for that day. The zip lining was fun, always is, and the white water tubing was a thrilling blast! We should have skipped the horseback riding and stayed at the base camp and had sodas or something. Being in our 60's, the horseback riding was uncomfortable, although the guides do everything they can to make the entire experience a good one. This is a full day and included a 1+ hour van ride each way, but they do make plenty of bathroom stops. Departure time was around 7:30a.m. with a return time of around 5:30p.m. It also includes a nice lunch at a local restaurant around 2p.m. and a final stop at the mud baths and thermal pools.
